1. Who we are
Attainsy is a product of Wealth Objects Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 09191439. Our registered office is at 28 Lansdowne Road, Stanmore, HA7 2SA, United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Wealth Objects Limited, and "Attainsy" means the Attainsy mobile app, the Attainsy web app and the Attainsy website (currently at getattainsy.com), together with their tools, content and outputs.
You can contact us at customersupport@attainsy.com.
2. These terms
By creating an Attainsy account, or by using the app or the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Attainsy.To use Attainsy you must be an individual, resident in the United Kingdom, and at least 18 years old. Attainsy is for your personal use and the personal use of your immediate family. You must not use it for any business or commercial purpose, including providing planning, projections or analysis as a service to anyone else.
If you download the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, their store terms also apply to the download and to any purchase made through them.
3. What Attainsy is - and what it is not
This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.
Attainsy is a guidance and information service. It helps you build a picture of your finances over your lifetime, explains what that picture looks like, and lets you explore what could happen under different choices and scenarios. You stay in control: you choose the inputs, you choose the scenarios, and you make the decisions.
Attainsy does not give advice. In particular:
• We do not give financial, investment, legal, tax, accountancy or any other professional advice.
• We never make a personal recommendation. Attainsy will never select a choice for you, tell you that a choice or product is suitable for you, or tell you what to do with a pension, investment, mortgage, insurance policy or any other financial product.
• We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and Attainsy is not a regulated service.
• Nothing in Attainsy is an offer, invitation or inducement to buy or sell any financial product.
Results, projections and scenarios in Attainsy are illustrations. They are built from the information you enter and from general assumptions, and they show what your situation could look like - not what will happen and not what you should do. Default values and assumptions are general in nature. It is your responsibility to review them and change them where they do not fit your situation.
Before taking, or deciding not to take, any action based on Attainsy, you should get appropriate professional advice from a person regulated to give it, after a thorough examination of your particular situation. You can find a regulated financial adviser through the FCA register at register.fca.org.uk or through directories such as MoneyHelper.
4. Accuracy of results
Results are for your general information and use only and are not intended to address your particular requirements. Results should not be relied upon in their entirety and shall not be deemed to be, or constitute, advice. Although endeavours have been made to provide accurate results and timely information, there can be no guarantee that such information is accurate as of the date it is received or that it will continue to be accurate in the future. No individual should act upon such information without receiving appropriate professional advice after a thorough examination of their particular situation. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss as a result of acts or omissions taken in respect of using Attainsy.
Thresholds, percentage rates and tax legislation may change in subsequent finance acts. Levels and bases of, and reliefs from, taxation are subject to change, and their value depends on your individual circumstances. The value of investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invested.
Attainsy covers complex topics such as pensions and tax. No tool of this kind can cover every possible situation, and we do not promise that Attainsy is complete, accurate or up to date for every topic or for your specific circumstances.
5. Your account
• You must give us accurate information when you register and keep your account details up to date.
• Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
• One account per person. You must not share your login or let anyone else, or any automated system, use your account. If you want to plan with someone else, use the shared plan feature in Plus described below - each of you keeps your own account.
6. Free and Plus
Attainsy Free gives you the features described as free in the app, at no charge, for as long as your account is active. Attainsy Plus is a paid subscription that unlocks the additional features described in the app.
The price of Plus is the price shown in the app or in the relevant app store at the time you subscribe, and includes VAT where it applies. Payments made in the app are taken by card through our payment provider, currently Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. If we change the price, the new price applies only from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, payment, renewal and cancellation are managed through your store account, and any refund is handled under the store’s rules.
Sharing your plan
Plus lets you invite one other person, typically your partner, to work on your plan with you. If you use this feature:
• the person you invite must meet the requirements in section 2, create their own account and accept these terms - you must not share your login with them;
• you both see and can edit the information in the shared plan, so only invite someone you are happy to share your financial information with;
• you can remove the invited person, and they can leave, at any time; and
• if your Plus subscription ends, the invited person’s access to Plus features through your plan ends with it.
7. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel your Plus subscription at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for, and your account then returns to Free.
As a consumer you also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason. Because Plus is digital content, we ask for your agreement to start supplying it straight away. If you start using Plus within the 14 days, you lose the right to cancel that purchase for a refund; if you have not used it, we will refund you in full, using your original payment method, within 14 days of you telling us. To cancel, contact us at customersupport@attainsy.com or use the route provided by your app store.
8. Using Attainsy fairly
You must not:
• use Attainsy in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or that damages or disrupts the service for others;
• copy, scrape, extract or republish content, calculations or outputs from Attainsy, or use bots or automated tools to access it;
• attempt to access the source code, reverse engineer the service, or test its security without our written permission; or
• use Attainsy outputs to provide advice or services to anyone outside your immediate family.
If you break these terms we may warn you, suspend your account, or in serious cases close it. Where the law allows, we may also take legal action.
9. Third-party partners
The app may show you third-party financial services partners, such as advisers or product providers. These listings are provided for your information. They are not an endorsement, recommendation or advice, and a listing does not mean a partner or its services are suitable for you.
Being open about how listings work:
• We may receive payment from listed partners. The type of payment depends on our agreement with each partner - for example a referral fee, a share of their revenue, a listing fee or another form of payment. We also tell you this at the point where you choose to share your details with a partner.
• The partners you see may depend on how you came to Attainsy. For example, if the app was made available to you through your employer or another organisation, you may be shown the partner connected with that channel.
• Partner listings are not a directory of the whole market. To find other firms, we give you links to the FCA register at register.fca.org.uk and other helpful sites, and you are always free to use any firm you choose.
• Some listed partners may be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and some may not. It is your responsibility to check a partner’s credentials before using them.
• We never share anything with a partner on our own initiative. If you choose to contact a partner, for example through an Expert help button, we share your contact details - your name, phone number, email address and address - and any query details, depending on what you complete and choose to share, and nothing else, only when you confirm it. Separately, if you want to save time explaining your position, you can actively ask us to share your financial information with a partner you choose - we will never share it otherwise. Both are described in our Privacy Policy.
• Any services you take from a partner are under a separate agreement between you and them. We are not a party to it and, subject to section 12, we are not responsible for their services, advice, acts or omissions.
Affiliate links
The app may also contain affiliate links to third-party websites and services. If you follow one and, for example, sign up or request a quote, the third party may pay us, typically per referral or per quote. An affiliate link is not an endorsement, recommendation or advice, and we are not responsible for the third party’s site or services. We do not send the third party any of your information - when you follow the link, you deal with them directly under their own terms and privacy policy.
10. Our content
The Attainsy name, logo, design, software, calculations and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them through the app and website while you have an account. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you, and nothing transfers your rights in the information you enter to us beyond what our Privacy Policy describes.
11. Availability
We work to keep Attainsy available and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error free. We may suspend or restrict access temporarily, for example to release updates or fix problems, and we may add, change or remove features over time. If a change to Plus substantially reduces its value to you, you can cancel and we will refund the part of your subscription you have paid for but not received.
12. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that:
• Attainsy is guidance, not advice, and you agree that decisions you make remain your own. We are not responsible for losses that result from financial decisions you take, or choose not to take, after using Attainsy.
• We are not responsible for losses caused by information you entered being incomplete or inaccurate, by events outside our reasonable control, or by faults in your device, network or app store.
• Because Attainsy is for personal use only, we are not liable for business losses of any kind.
• Where you use Attainsy Free, and to the extent the law permits, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from that free use.
• Our total liability to you in connection with Attainsy is limited to the greater of £50 and the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time in the app or by contacting us. We can close or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or by giving you at least 14 days’ notice. If we close your account without you being at fault, we will refund any part of a Plus subscription you have paid for but not received. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when your account closes.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law, in our services or in how we operate. We will publish the updated terms and ask you to accept them when you next use Attainsy. If a change to paid features is significantly to your disadvantage, we will give you notice and you can cancel with a refund for the remaining part of your subscription.
15. General
• These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, and if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, also in your local courts.
• If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• These terms are between you and us. No one else has rights under them.
• We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a successor to our business, provided your rights are not reduced.
